I have tried in vein to try and get the ‘Death in Family’ form so that I can try to refund my flight to America after receiving the death certificate I require. Both myself and my partner have spoken to your customer services department but they have failed to provide us with a ‘link’ in order that I may complete a form. This time for us is especially difficult without trying to find a form on the internet! Please can your team be trained suitably so that customers can get the information they need without further stress! Thank you!

U all site is not working am trying to book a flight and it is not passing the calculation process can someone help me plz
BA is uncontactable. I need to change a flight/car booking. Thus is disallowed online by the BA site. I do not have a smart phone. Every BA phone number gets automatically answered and terminated. I am unable to change my flight/car. This is dreadful. How do I talk to someone who can simply make my change?
My wife and I had flight bookings last year on a BA flight to Johannesburg (fully paid for). BA cancelled the flight because of COVID-19 (understandable). Last week when South Africa was taken off the Red List, I went online to book a flight using the reference I had. A reply came up saying a Voucher would be sent to me within 48 hours. Nearly a week and no sign of the voucher!!
Tried using their contact number this morning 0344-493-0787. They asked numerous question requiring press 1/2/3/4ā¦ā¦then said overwhelming number of calls, phone again later and dropped my call !!!
It is clear they are only allowing new bookings with cash coming in – the heck with bookings paid for ages ago.
WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONTACT BA IN SOUTH AFRICA OR THE UK FOR 18 MONTHS TO REBOOK CANCELLED FLIGHTS USING VOUCHERS ISSUED AND UNABLE TO RECEIVE A REFUND FOR 3 MONTHS.
VOUCHERS 125-2105762393 AND 2394 S R and T E TOMPKINS BOOKING REFERENCE N8UQFW
WE HAVE MADE 30 PHONE CALLS UNANSWERED
i have tried for 3 days to speak to someone at executive club number you provide. not only do they not answer but the caller is cut off the line. i went online to BA .com executive club could not be connected because the website refused to accept my membership number/ pin/ password or perhaps username – i will never know which. i even tried to find a BA office in London where i could go in person to make my booking but it seems not to exist. if you would like my custom, please respond to richard@rdorment.com or call me on 020249414. The flight i need is not until next month and i know you are busy but you should realise that customers cannot postpone bookings for all sorts of personal reasons – in my case because my children must be told when we arrive so that their lives can be adjusted.
Customer Service needs a lot of help. Trying to reach a human for three months.
Please call me in Mesa AZ at 480-493-9180 ASAP Have tried every way possible to contact you. Unable to make the trip in May 2022 and need a refund for flights which have changed and hotels in London. Please contact me ASAP. Please ! Please! Please
Your company was more than happy to make the reservaation and ta;l me into hotels as well and now that I need to cancel has ghosted me to REFUND my money. BAD Service VERY BAD
I’m afraid I had quite a lot of bad luck with you last week. I do understand that a great deal of it was not your fault but… it all added up to quite a lot of expenses for me, which I hope you will consider refunding me for and wasted holiday time that I hope you will compensate me for.
The first problem was that you cancelled our flight to Lyon on the 20th of February at 0820. There were 10 of us on this flight. We did get a refund for the cost of booking onto another flight, but this flight took us to Geneva instead of Lyon and so our transfer from Lyon to our destination in Courchevel was compromised and we had to pay an extra Ā£500 to get there. There were no other available flights to Lyon that day, we checked. We could have flown the next day, but this would have entailed the loss of a skiing day (including ski hire, ski lessons and ski passes) which had been fully paid for in advance, plus a night at our chalet which wasn’t cheap (half term prices…) As it turns out, the next day’s flight was also inexplicably cancelled so it was a good thing we didn’t choose that option.
The next mishap was that one of my suitcases, which contained all my boys’ skiing clothes, painstakingly purchased, tried on for size, returned, repurchased… did not make it. This was particularly unfortunate as the boys had packed it really heavy and I paid Ā£65 of excess baggage to get it to France. That was my fault and my problem, but it became your problem when the case failed to arrive. It was supposed to be delivered the next day, but you guessed it… it didn’t make it at all. Obviously, we were not given any information, just a phone number which curtly informed me (by robot) that it had been lost and then hung up on me. As a result, I had to hire and/or purchase all their clothes and skiing gear and toiletries. I replaced some basics in a French supermarket (notably underwear, t-shirts, one pair of joggings and some snow boots) but I was forced to replace quite a lot of items of clothing just prior to our departure because the boys had nothing to wear for school the next day. They don’t have a school uniform, which would obviously have been safely left at home. These items were ordered on Saturday for next day delivery, when we were due to get home at 1430, being as we were on the 1150 flight from Lyon to Heathrow. But, you guessed it, we didn’t get home at 1430. We were informed that there would be a 2 hour delay on our flight (ok, these things happen) but that we should nevertheless get to the airport in time for a non-delayed flight, just in case… I know this is standard procedure, but it meant we left at 0650 as it was a 2.5 hour drive to the airport and we wanted to be early to check in the bags we did have, and clear any remaining COVID hurdles in good time. The delay was 2.5 hours, so obviously we don’t get a refund, but this was a bit devious because it then took over an hour to get us off the plane. There was no parking space, and then no air bridge. And then, when we finally disembarked and got through passport control, we would have been forgiven for thinking our bags would be waiting for us in baggage reclaim. But they weren’t. In all that time on the plane, no-one had thought to unload the bags. Not only that, but it took a further 90 mins to get our bags back. So the journey that should have taken 7 or 8 hours (being super conservative) took 12 hours.
Over the course of the week, we got approximately 100 fake apologies… by which I mean that everyone was very sorry in a ‘have a nice day’ kind of way… meaningless because the person apologising over the Tanoy or in the call centre (if you were lucky enough to get through to an underpaid, undermotivated and understandably unsympathetic human) wasn’t actually at fault. Insincere apologies from harassed staff are worse than useless. You cannot reasonably get mad at them precisely because it isn’t their fault. And they are often powerless to make it right, which is what makes an apology meaningful… On our cancelled outbound flight, we were informed belatedly that we should have organised the refund for the new flights at the check in desks. But when we asked any member of BA staff at Heathrow airport, we were repeatedly informed that we needed to make changes though the BA app. This was impossible. I saw one beleaguered traveller being abruptly told to go through the app, and wasn’t inclined to get the same treatment by asking that member of staff for assistance. I decided to call your customer service helpline at a more convenient, less stressful time. It turns out I nearly got booted off my return flight from Lyon on the grounds that I hadn’t turned up for the inbound flight. The one YOU cancelled. What kind of ridiculous is that? The unsympathetic call centre operative informed me that if she gave me a refund for the new flights to Geneva, I would have to purchase new return flights because I should have done it through the app or at the check in desk. To be fair, she did sort this out for me, and she was only quoting what the computer told her, but the conversation was unpleasant for both of us. I knew it wasn’t her fault, I knew she was only doing her job, but I felt we were both hard done by by the system which makes things unnecessarily complicated. I’d been on hold for an hour before I finally got through to her, and this was after calling numerous times and not even making it to the hideous on hold queue when I incessantly get told my call is important to you when IT CLEARLY ISN’T. Hearing your theme tune will actually trigger PTSD for the foreseeable future! No-one who has waited an hour on hold can reasonably be expected to be as calm as they might normally be when they then get told that computer says no. If computer had been playing fair, we wouldn’t be having this fraught conversation.
The good news (yes, there is some good news) is that we did get that case back yesterday. Furthermore I’m happy to inform you that I hadn’t got around to replacing my son’s laptop and noise-cancelling headphones. And yes, I did admonish him for putting not putting those in his handluggage. And I’m sure that you will keep the good news coming both by refunding me for the clothes, ski gear and transfer costs, and by offering suitable compensation for all the hours that I have wasted getting replacement ski gear (a morning we could have spent skiing), getting replacement clothes (had to get a taxi to nearest supermarket which was 30 minutes drive there, and the same back, obviously), time that I should have been spending relaxing with my family; time spent on hold, time spent trying to be on hold, time spent waiting for a lost case and then reporting it as lost; time spent waiting for cases that arrived inexcusably late, time spent on a plane unable to disembark (I should have been getting ahead with laundry, but then again, thanks to you, there wasn’t so much of that!) Oh, and time spent writing this missive.
And please, please, please whoever you are reading this, please don’t apologise for all my troubles only to inform me there’s nothing you can do about any of it because computer says no. In that case I beg you, give me the email address of your manager, or whoever it is who can bypass the computer. I’d genuinely be eternally grateful.
i am trying to book a BA flight redeeming a voucher given to us because of a cancelled flight due to covid therefore i cannot use the website as it has no function to do this . I am forced to use the various telephone numbers shown but after 5 hours of trying and being stuck in wait lines morning and evening then kicked off i`m yet to contact anyone . it really is appalling service , no excuses . It almost seems like the system is designed so as not to be contactable . Its a shame that the once “worlds favourite ” a brand to which i was very loyal has slipped into the Michael O`Leary school of budget airline customer service .
British Airways is conning people by providing e-vouchers. BA is permanently busy from 8am to 8pm – when are customers supposed to contact a sales person? I think it would be so much easier to contact our Creator than BA!! Horrendous service. Can you let me know by email when I can speak to someone regarding a booking? After this fantastic service by BA I will NEVER want to use BA as a service provider for my future travels. Disgusting!!
Disgusting service by British Airways – unable to speak to sales person from 8am-8pm when are they free if at all? Can someone from British Airways contact me by email or are they too busy even to do that!! I have provided by details as requested in the form set out below and if you are reading respond!!!
I would like to know if this post is public to BA customer relations or public?
