We were told by the China Eastern Shanghai office that our tickets were eligible for $105 refund per ticket, but that we needed to contact the booking agency we used to book the tickets. We booked through Priceline. When I called Priceline they told me we had to wait until the China Eastern American office opened to verify this information. When Priceline contacted the China Eastern Los Angeles office they told us that the tickets were not able to be refunded. When we tried to communicate the information we had received from the Shanghai office the customer service representative from the Los Angeles office (Robin, #49381) was very unhelpful and only persistently kept saying the tickets are not refundable. He was not interested in trying to find out why we were given the misinformation from the Shanghai office and was unwilling to contact the number we had called who told us the tickets were eligible for $105/ticket refund. We asked to speak with his supervisor and Robin insisted that he had no supervisor. Eventually, Robin placed us on hold while we were in the midst of speaking and when the line picked up again we were being connected to the Shanghai office. In the Shanghai office, we spoke to Lori (#932525) who was also not interested in seeking out why we were given false information or who gave us the false information. Needless to say we are beyond disappointed with the customer service care that we received through China Eastern. This airline company needs to take more time in training their customer service representatives to be able to give credible information. If we were able to avoid this airline altogether we would not use China Eastern again.
I have a confirmed flight (Flight 0578) LAX to Shaghai in Economy Class. (1) How much would it cost me if I upgrade to Business Class? (2) How much would it cost me if I take the later Flight (From Flight 0578 at 12:05 am of Nov. 27, 2017 to Flight 586 Nov 27, 2018 11:30am?
