Absolutely disgusting service. I phoned 5 times the lady would not give me her name. My complaint is EMD -0774551910400 REFUND DUE TO AUDIO VIDEO DEFECTS OB MS 840 9 MAR JNB TO CAIROO EGYPT.
We were booked on business class and they said as soon as we get to Cairo we must hand this in, in CaIRO they send us from pillar to post and nobody could help us. If I wanted to have a disgusting journey with no entertainment I could have saved far more money going with economic class. But still nobody wants to help. First we learned that all passengers first and surnames were swapped by the online booking system. Once we reported this, EgyptAir asked us to pay R 3300 to “correct” it.
We disagreed and disputed this via mail and verbal conversation, but were almost verbally blackmailed by Nilesh Jadav, Egypt Air Rosebank branch of South Africa:
“No payment, no re-issued tickets”.
As not to jeopardize the journey and to avoid retaliation, eventually we paid.
Then Egypt Air used the ticket re-issuing process as an opportunity to collect another R 1345 “tax” from us. We requested an explanation which was not given to us in a satisfying, convincing sense making way.

With our mail from the 5th of August, Egypt Air has been given the opportunity to tell their side of the story in the mitigation process by close of business August 8th 2018. To much of a disappointment, this has not happened as yet.
We are claiming to be repaid for the additional “tax” charged R 1345 and R 3300 for the “name change services”. In both cases we only have an acknowledgement of receipt of payment and not an invoice as it would be standard practice for additional services rendered.
The service received was experienced as incompetent, threatening and not welcoming at all, e.g. not client orientated.

Extremely rude staff. No assistance
cancelled this ticket no 0772434515058 online on the 19th of November after visiting the sisli office in Istanbul Turkey. I recieved a mail that my refund request is being processed. On the 29th of November i recieved an online boarding pass. I immediately emailed the office and online refunds to enquire as to why i am being mailed a boarding pass for this ticket that i cancelled. The office in Istanbul said there is no problem. Online refunds never replied after countless mails. But since the office said its fine i waited patiently 21 working days. It has long passed 21 working days. Where is my money. Is this fraud?
Egypt air never replies. I wrote to complaints as well. Please reply to this mail or else i will be taking further action. I am a South African citizen which i guess theyStaff at Johannesburg dont know. They said it was the problem of the office in Turkey and it has nothing to do with them. I found out from them that the ticket was not cancelled. I have proof of all my mails and enquiries.

Dear Egypt Air Please assist . Due to the current world wide pandemic we had to cancel our travel plans for December 2020. We received notification in April that travellers with underlying medical conditions will not be able to travel due to covid 19. We forwarded a request in May for the cancellation of travelling. Please see attached. This morning I went on Egypt air app. Just to find out that YOU have changed our flight from Cairo to Sharma El Sheikh on Saturday 16 April to Monday 18 April .
I will NOT except this change in flight .You are extremely unprofessional that you have changed the flight without my consent. Please note the following :
• This flight was booked and paid on the 13rd October 2021( please see below)
• I have already book and paid for accommodation in Sharma El Sheikh from the 16Th of April
• I DON’T and WILL not stay in Cairo for 2 days .
• You have at no time contacted me to consult
• I have even booked and paid extra for specific seats
• At the time of booking and payment was made the flight was not even 20% full
It is expected that Egypt air will honour my booking and reinstate the traveling plans to the original flight plans . I hereby expect URGENT conformation before COB on Monday 28 December 2021.
I have never experienced this bad service from any airline . This is disgusting.

My son’s ticket was cancelled due to covid. Since then we are trying to get through to Egypt Air with out any success. We tried different telephone numbers, websites, complaint forms, facebook, twitter ect.
I really think it is very bad service not to be able to get hold of a company.
I tried: 011 – 5377640, 3902202 and 3902594, so please dont tell me to try these numbers.
