Disabled passengers Assistance
Disabled passengers are passengers who use wheelchairs, live with visual or hearing impairments, travel with guide dogs. Passengers with special needs are considered those who are,
- pregnant
- travelling with a broken leg
- travelling with mobility equipment
- affected by a contagious disease
- using medicine or medical equipment
- in need of extra oxygen for medical reasons.
Passengers living with visual and hearing impairments
- Wizz air provides Meet and Assist services for passengers living with visual and hearing impairments during the check-in process, through security and to the departure gate.
- You will be boarded before everyone else, and our cabin crew will help you stow your hand luggage and help you to your seat.
- Medical certificate confirming their fitness to travel by air does not apply to passengers with visual and hearing impairments with conditions that are not compatible with travel by air (including, but not limited to recent surgery, heart disorder, etc.), where the above rules on the Medical certificate apply.
Guide and assistance dogs
- Guide and assistance dogs will be accommodated on board at no additional cost for disabled passengers on flights within the European Union and from countries of the European Union into countries outside the European Union. Only one dog can be accepted per flight and must not occupy a seat.
- Passengers Dogs should have that it is Certified.
- Produce all documentation in the regulations of the countries you’re travelling to and from.
- Other animals are not accommodated.

Q. Can I use my own Wheelchair inside the aircraft?
No, Wizz air will provide you with one to use on the way to the aircraft, during the flight and when disembarking after the flight. You can carry your own wheelchair with free of charge in the aircraft hold.
Q. If Diabetic patient carry insulin on board?
Yes, you can take insulin on board with own free of charge. You must have to produce medical certificate at the airport security that you need the medicine during your trip. No refrigerator bag provided by Wizz air.
Q. I am Blind, can i take my Dog with me?
Yes, you can take your guide dog free of charge. You must inform during booking process to the Special Assistance Call Centre or send email to our Special Assistance email address. You need to send the following documents no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time:
- Certificate proving that your dog is a certified assistance dog
- All documentation set out in the regulations of the countries you are travelling to and from.
Q. How to make a claim, if a person had impaired vision?
Please submit the claim via the form available on Wizz air website, you can send the text of the complaint to the specialassistance@wizzair.com mailbox using Voice to Text. If you’re not using any voice to text, the airline call centre agent can help and you can discuss.
Q. Can i use my own oxygen device during travel?
No, Wizz air provide extra oxygen on board for passengers who need it for medical reasons. You have to provide a “Fit To Fly” certificate, confirming the following:
- Passenger must fit to fly (medically);
- The passenger does not require a continuous supply of oxygen for more than 250 minutes at a flow rate of 2L/min;
- No Oxygen provided during take-off / landing and accepted by the passenger.
