I booked directly via Alitalia internet following flights: Code QINJVU:
Start flights: 17/10/19 Frankfurt-Roma (AZ 0403) + Roma-Catania (AZ 1741)
and return flights: 20/10/19 Catania-Milano (AZ 1702) +Milano-Frankfurt (AZ 0410)
A VISA Alitalia Frankfurt booking was made on 4/10) for a total of 357.04 Euros
Two day prior starting the first flight (on 15/10) and due to a illness with fever, I phoned Alitalia Germany customer department and asked for a cancelation with refund of at least airport taxes or to obtain as an alternative the possibility to postpone these flights at a later date. An employee confirmed that this could be possible if I forwarded a medical attest. This was done at the same time by E-Mail.
During following 3 months, I sent at least 4 E-mails to get an answer without any success.
On 17/1/20 somebody pretending to belong to a Alitalia customer service but refusing to give any information about is name phoned me in German from Italy (00-39098493011). This unidentified person indicated that the official and signed medical attest I provided as requested to Alitalia prior to my cancelation, was not valid because a detailed diagnostic (what about medical secrecy?) was not included! According to this, not even airport taxes could be refunded! After forwarding a new E-mail asking for a written confirmation I got again the same unidentified person on the phone on 3/2/20 still refusing to confirm any answer in writting, As I am suspecting some mismanagement or irregularities which could have occurred in this regard by Alitalia, may I asked forward this complain to the Alitalia central quality management department with the hope to obtain at least an official written answer.
