    I booked my air tickets with an agency on 31/05/18 to travel on 16/11/18. We were four person travelling among there were two elderly people. Our destinations were Mauritius-Reunion- Chennai- Delhi. In our initial itinerary the departure time from Mauritius on 16 Nov was 18:20> Reunion: 22:15 > Chennai: 08:45. Please see attached the itinerary.
    After some months our agency contacted us to say that the departure time changed to 08:30 morning on 16 Nov, which implies that we would arrived earlier in Chennai and had one night to stay before going to Delhi. Per conversation between our agency and that of staffs of Air Austral we gathered that Air Austral will provide us a hotel to stay in Chennai. So one month before my agency contacted Air Austral to know in which hotel we will stay or obtain the hotel vouchers. She contacted them several times and they said that it will be fine but never obtained any information about where we would stay. So few days before our departure I went to Cathay tours to get the details and the sales agent explained that despite several phone calls they did not communicated the hotel to stay and said that they cannot send the information due to confidentiality. (WHAT INFORMATION CONFIDENTIAL IS THERE IN THE NAME OF THE HOTEL????). So I decided to went directly in the office of Air Austral in Caudan and talked with a lady, same response was obtained, that was shocking because my flight was in few days, changes was communicated months before and still they could not provide us details of arrangements???? I even gave my email address and phone number to the lady asking her to let me know about all updated. (SO I THINK THE DETAILS WENT TO THE BIN SINCE THE LADY NEVER CONTACTED ME!!! WHAT SERVICE IS THIS????)
    One day before our travel my agency contacted me to say that they donā€™t provide hotel vouchers however I need to go to ā€˜the chef of Air Austral in Chennai and he will provide me the details of the hotelā€™, name of hotel was given by phone. Since it is our first time in India I didnā€™t know whether I should have done researches about address , complete hotel name, phone number etc of the hotel to provide in the immigration. When we arrive in Chennai we obtained lots of problems in Chennai, We only know the name of the hotel and nothing else, no documents to support what we were saying. I explained the immigration officer about the problem and he was furious. We waited for about 4 hours there, the then cleared only me to go to obtain the details for the head of Air Austral. I did meet the man and information was provided. That was a very embarrassing moment for us and that was because of the bad service, bad communication, horrible and unprofessional customer service from Air Austral. It was the first time my parent travel and she was stressed. Funny thing is that they send me a watsapp of the details on the 16th (day of the flight) at 11:37am and my flight was at 8:30.
    Thatā€™s not the end. The next day on our flight from Chennai to Delhi, the airbus was Air India. So Air Austral booked the air tickets on our behalf. One of the passenger name was correct on the air tickets for airline Air Austral but when Air Austral booked with Air India, the booking was only on the first name for another female passenger they put her as ā€˜MALEā€™. Again we spent hours at the counter to solve the issue and we were about to miss our flight, there was such a long queue and we had to request officers of Chennai to let us go first.
