Yazd Air is a new airline based in Yazd, Iran, that started operations in 2023. It was founded in May 2022 and began its operations on February 17, 2023. Yazd Air’s first flight took place on February 17, 2023, from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) to Yazd. Private investors spent 10 trillion rials (approximately $22 million) on the launch of Yazd Air. Yazd Air operates two Airbus A310s for international flights to destinations such as Najaf in Iraq, Dubai, Istanbul, and Mumbai. It has received support from Mahan Air and has plans to expand its routes and services in the future.
