Travelers interested in registering for TSA Preāœ“ā„¢may enroll at the RNO Pre-check application site on first floor of the terminal building.

TSA Preāœ“ā„¢is an expedited screening program that allows travelers at security checkpoints where you can keep your wallet, shoes, belt, jacket, laptops and 3-1-1 compliant liquids / gels (in carry bag) at the TSA Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

RNO Security Checkpoint Contacts

The security checkpoint is opened an hour to 90 minutes before the first departing flight of the day. Only ticketed passengers can access areas beyond the security checkpoint. Security Documents or Non-Passenger Escort (NPE) passes may be given to someone who is meeting or escorting, those who

  • Unaccompanied minor (children ages 5-11 years old traveling alone).
  • Disabled person.
  • Young travelers under the age of 18 years old.
  • Family members of U.S. military service members (either arriving or departing) who have been deployed or are being deployed.

TSA PreCheckĀ® Enrollment Location: Main terminal between baggage claim and Mari Chuyā€™s Mexican Kitchen.

Ā TSA PreCheckĀ® Enrollment Center opens: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary and subject to change)

  • RNO does not have a Global Entry enrollment office.
  • The nearest offices are located in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Portland, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.

Documents Required for TSA Pre-check at Reno-Tahoe International Airport

  1. Passengers of age 18 years and older must present their government-issued photo ID (Driverā€™s license or passport)
  2. Traveller’s using state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., make sure it is REAL ID compliant.
