On 29 Apr’2021 I received an e-mail from Lufthansa informing me the change of my reservation under Lufthansa booking code : TBPJA6. In that e-mail Lufthansa gave me 3 options to choose. But before I can decide which option to choose, I have some key questions to ask in respect of Options 2 and 3. So I called Lufthansa Hong Kong Office (Tel. No. +852 2868 2313) today and have waited for more than 2 hours on the line and still cannot be served by the staff there!!! That is why I have to write this e-mail to Lufthansa to reflect my experience and feeling. I can’t even find Lufthansa HK’s office address in their official website!!!
Now the important thing is : Can someone from Lufthansa HK or Lufthansa’s head office in Germany contact me to help answering my questions. You should have my e-mail address and contact telephone no.

Dear Sir,
I want to lodge a serious complaint against your companyās handling of my flight from New York to Frankfurt on 19th June. I understand from my travel agent that your Hong Kong office would not entertain his request for refund, unless I explained the circumstance in detail.
Not only had Lufthansa caused me to miss my appointment in Germany, your requiring further explanation as an excuse not to refund the ticket only helps to demonstrates Luthansa’s lack of respect for your customers. I should also add that, subsequently to missing this flight, I bought another Luthansa flight for the same journey. Therefore I cannot understand how you can be so cavalier about refusing my travel agentās request for refund.
I arrived at the JFK airport counter before the one and half hour required time before departure, and a very polite Lufthansa staff (probably of Asian/Indian descent) greeted me at the queue to ask for my on-line check-in. When I told him that both me and my travel agent had not been successful with on-line check-in, he immediately checked the computer for me, and then apologised profusely about how the flight was over-booked, and explained that there were already several other customers who booked the flight waiting stand-by. Soon he confirmed all seats had been taken, and asked me to speak to a lady at the counter next to the check-in for assistance. She is a well-built black lady, the only staff servicing a handful of customers all desperate to fly to Frankfurt.
I should first say that she was overwhelmed by the persistent customers queuing ahead of me, also she was the only one assigned to deal with all these frustrated customers. However, she was singularly unhelpful, she told me to rebook for the following day, insisting nothing was available for Frankfurt that evening. The only advice to me was to take a card (see photo attached), and told me to either call Reservations or write Customer Relations. I told her I need to fly to Germany that same day, then she suggested I try Condor airline, which had a flight leaving in the next hour. Of course when I heeded this suggestion, Condor told me the flight was sold out. I returned to her at Lufthansa and found another queue at the counter. Thereupon I gave up.
However, when I later looked up the internet I discovered a flight operated by Lufthansa that same evening, seats were still available and I bought a new ticket on the internet. (See photo attached).
I must say Lufthansaā customer service, especially when you had over-sold your flight, is absolutely unacceptable. I insist you should refund my booking immediately. The situation was particular unacceptable in light of the fact that I managed to buy a separate ticket on Lufthansa airline that very evening. Your counter staff should simply have re-booked this flight for me. Instead she directed me to another airline and sent me running around desperately for an hour.
I am copying my travel agent in this mail, his name is Edmond Chan of Guidance Travel in Hong Kong. Please coordinate with Edmond for the refund.
