Your Australian contact telephone number (131 747) is for use within Australia only – do you have a standard number (format 02 xxxx xxxx) for use when calling from overseas?

I have been trying to contact SYDNEY reservations for two day, and have been on hold for up to 3/4 of an hour. I only wish to enquire if you have a WAIT LIST service for possible upgrades on your flights.

    Thankyou

I have never met a more Arrogant airline like Cathay Pacific who don’t list their head office number. There is no one in Cathay Pacific that I can speak to regarding Asia Miles. I know you have a website, my question is not listed on your website.

I consider the behavior by Cathay Pacific as being inappropriate, disgrace and humiliating and arrogant.

I have managed to speak with Customer Service with all airlines but not Cathay Pacific

I have tried for over 45 minutes without success

    Very Angry and Disappointed.

May be I should fly with another airline

I have been holding on for nearly an hour for my call to be answered on the 24/7 service number that you provide without success.

I have received an email today re a change in my flight details cancelling an ongoing flight originating in Sydney and connecting through Hong Kong to Manchester. This would leave me in Hong Kong for over 24 hours for the ongoing connection which does not suit at all. I obviously need to change this.

I would appreciate an urgent call back on my mobile , 0438204889, to discuss this matter.

    Regards

    Jenny

I have spent nearly an hour on hold to Cathay Pacific’s office. No one answers calls. I need a response ASAP. Your customer service is shocking! lift your standards or I will find another airline!

I have had the worst experience with Cathay Pacific. They charged me a penalty of $550 3 months ago that I have been calling and writing and calling to get fixed and repaid. Finally they decided to refund the $550 after 3 months ONLY to CHARGE my credit card $550 instead of giving me a credit of $550!! Now, not only do I need to chase them up about my initial refund but the new refund too. I have never dealt with such an incompetent organisation in my life. They have caused me so much stress and taken up so much of my time for their lack of customer service.

    Hi,
We have bought tickets on CX for travel SYD-HKG in early November in economy class and we are transferring to a Finnair flight three hours later for travel Helsinki-Geneva in business class……but these are separate tickets. Question….given that both CX and AY are in the same Oneworld alliance, I would like to have our bags checked straight through to Geneva so we can stay in transit in Hong Kong, rather than have to collect our bags and re-check-in. Can you please confirm that we can do this? Many thanks Terry

Please contact me to discuss my Business Class booking (multiple seats). I have waited on the phone for over 55 minutes and no one has answered. In view of the current Corona Virus situation, I need to establish if I continue with my bookings through Hong Kong or cancel? Your most urgent attention in responding to this query would be appreciated.

55 minutes on hold is disgraceful in this day and age!

Nothing on your website providing advice and/or guidance in respect of the Corona Virus outbreak is inexcusable! This performance and your CEO wants your staff to take 3 weeks leave, without pay, voluntarily………… He is a disgrace and should step down immediately

    Hi,
I have received an email from Cathay Pacific on 13-Mar-20 stating that our flights CX354 & CX163 have been cancelled and we can get a refund. Ref # WPIA7H.
We booked these using Qantas points & pay.
I have contacted Qantas by email and they have responded that I need to cancel directly with Cathay Pacific for a refund.
How do I do this as I require a refund of 652.04 Pound Sterling & 256,800 Qantas points.
    Cheers Andrea Doncovio

My flight, CX157, May 2, has been cancelled. An email notified me of this cancellation and advised me to go to the Manage Booking section of Cathay’s website to arrange for a refund of the unused portion of the ticket. Sadly, no such help and not even a hint about how this might be done is available on their site.
They have a ‘chat’ option on that site that I hoped might allow the matter to be sorted out. I gave it a go and found I was 80 in a very slow-moving queue. I had other things to do in the house and returned after a while to see where I was in the queue. But, despite being in the queue, the connection had timed out. Once again I activated ‘chat’. Again I was about 80 in the queue. A moment’s inattention a bit later and again I was ‘timed out’. A third time I joined the queue. Again I was about no. 80 in the queue and by now I realized I must sit and watch the queue slowly diminish and seek not to be disconnected. After three hours from the beginning, I ‘chatted’ with the operator who had no answer to my question and who suggested I ring 131747 – and we all know how that goes.
I then attempted to find an office address, an email address – any point of contact that might allow the matter of refund to be dealt with. But why, oh why, should I have needed to do so when, having cancelled the flight, Cathay knows it owes me money.
Anyway, Cathay wants to be left alone. There is nothing for it but to use 131747 wherever that might be.
I decided to try contacting the Air Miles office thinking that might sort things out. I joined Air Miles on about 5th Feb. But I had no luck. Air Miles website told me that I had not used the site for some time, that my membership had lapsed and that I should – yes, you’ve guessed it, essentially I should contact 131747.
I then thought there may be an answer via ‘Cancel booking’. Bad luck for me. Although I had made the booking directly with Cathay from China and not through any agent, ‘Cancel booking’ told me that it could be of no help as I had not booked directly through Cathay – and that I should contact 131747.
Harking back, then, to my ‘chat’, the ‘chatter’ assured me that I could seek a refund for the cancelled flight as long as I cancelled my booking (for a cancelled flight) at least one day before the date of the flight.
How does this company stay solvent?
